Savannah's birthday started out with a siren! Well from the neighborhood parade that is. Our ward does a neighborhood parade the saturday before the 24th every year. We missed it the first year it started since that is the day that we 
brought savannah home from the hospital. every year we watch it, a couple of years it has come right in front of our house. this was one of those years. sandy's chief of police lives in our neighborhood and he starts the parade by driving his car with the light going. the primary kids follow on decorated bikes and a ward band finish up the parade. savannah loved 
that it was her birthday and there was 
a parade just for her. i figured we would watch the parade this year since we might have to be in it next year! the parade finishes up with a breakfast out in the street for the whole neighborhood. the breakfast was great! eric helped with cooking and serving. i had cut of the fruit (my contribution for being on the activities committee. it was hot and fun!!!
